NTRP Move for hunger

If you can’t join us for our Next meeting, then consider donating to the 2015 Texas “Move for Hunger” Drive here…

NTRP members donated 65 pounds of food at our February meeting! Thanks NTRP! #CaringforCommunity #NorthTXRelo

Objective: To support our partners at Move for Hunger in facilitating a food drive among all of the Texas regional groups at our Q1 meetings. Food donated would go back to the communities in which they were donated.

  • Volunteer from each regional to be point person for drive
  • Market the drive in all communications for each Q1 regional meeting
  • Work with Move for Hunger on website for cash donations and movers to transport food.
  • Identify point person to track number of items donated to compare each regional groups performance.
  • Work to make this an annual drive.

About Move for Hunger:

By teaming up with relocation companies across the country, Move For Hunger is creating one of the nation’s largest year-round service programs.  Our movers offer to pick up the unwanted, non-perishable food items from those who are moving and deliver it to their local food banks.

“Adriana, I would like to officially give you a big “Thanks!” for organizing the recent paper goods drive for the North Texas Relocation Professionals. I would also like to thank each of the NTRP members who contributed. It may seem like a small thing, a box of trash bags or sandwich bags or foil, but when you have no income, even these small things are unattainable. Thank you for helping Interfaith Housing supply these needs for the families we are blessed to serve! Thank you!”
Vonnie Salguera, Director of Residential Svcs.

Interfaith Housing Coalition is a faith-based agency whose mission is to “be the hands of Christ helping families transition to self-sufficiency and new hope."  For over 25 years, Interfaith's Home & Hope Transitional Housing Program has provided transitional housing via 49 apartments that we own debt free, self-sufficiency programs such as career counseling and budget mentoring, and children & teen programs for approximately 100 homeless families per year.

Interfaith Housing Coalition in Dallas received a check December 11, 2014 for $5000 on behalf of the North Texas Relocation Professionals.
This donation will help sponsor a family throughout their program. Thanks NTRP! #caringforthecommunity
